KidSafe Systems

We believe that our children are our future and that we should do everything possible to ensure that they have the best possible environment to grow into healthy, happy adults.  For this reason, we have created a number of programs  for presentation to schools, clubs, and groups that deal with better health for children.

Backpack Safety for Children
Kids use backpacks to carry their stuff around with them wherever they go these days.  Today's backpacks are convenient, lightweight and are available in a dizzying array of styles and colors to fit every occasion.  They have replaced the bookbags, briefcases, and shoulder bags of the last generation and can be found adorning the backs of school children across the country.

There is a problem with backpacks that has become increasingly prevalent among school aged children.  Many children are putting way too much in their backpacks and carrying them improperly, setting themselves up for injuries and long term spinal problems.

We have created a program for children to show them how the improper use of their backpack can affect their spines and their health.  We also show them what they can do to avoid the inherent dangers of overloaded and improperly carried backpacks.  The children are shown specific examples of backpack injury and how to avoid having it happen to them. Approximate time:  35 minutes
